The story of Park Works began at the Ruka Ski Resort, where the company’s founders, Mauno Salonen and Johannes Rinne, worked on maintaining Ruka Park. Both founders have a strong background in extreme sports and a deep passion for snow construction.
ParkWorks started its journey in close collaboration with Ruka Park, renowned as one of the best snow parks in the Nordics and known for its exceptionally long ski season. The company took on the responsibility for designing, constructing, and maintaining Ruka Park.
The experience gained at Ruka allowed ParkWorks to refine its processes and develop customer-focused solutions tailored to meet the needs of both recreational riders and professional competitors. The team learned the importance of understanding user needs and integrating them into designs that are both safe and inspiring.

I have been going downhill my entire life and have over 15 years of professional experience working in ski resorts. My career has taken me not only across Finland but also to Canada and New Zealand. I am dedicated to delivering quality and efficiency in every project I undertake.

As a former professional skier, I understand what it takes to meet the highest global standards. Over the past decade, I have applied this knowledge to designing and developing snow and bike parks. My goal is always to create the safest and most functional parks for all user groups.
